Jozani Forest
Jozani Forest is one of Zanzibar’s most special attractions. It is a forest is made up of very tall Mahogany trees and a variety of shade-growing plants. Your guide will tell you of the medicinal use of some of those plants. The forest is home to the Zanzibar Red Columbus monkey: they are endemic to Zanzibar! If the monkeys are awake it is a wonderful thing to see them jump from one tree to another. They are not shy, so you can see them from a very short distance. You will also visit the mangrove forest where you will find three kinds of Mangrove trees.
