Traditional dancing and drumming lessons
The excursion will start with a tour of Mtoni Palce and will end in the courtyard. Originating from Egypt, Taarab music has been long been part of Zanzibar culture. Learn to play the violin, guanun, oud, nay, table or Ngoma (drum) depending on your background and interest. You will learn some of the history and theory behind our music, gaining a better understanding for a musical art that is such an integral part of Zanzibar tradition. The day will draw to a close with refreshments served overlooking the Indian Ocean.
