Ngoma Dancing or Drumming Lesson
The excursion will start with a tour of Mtoni Palce and will end in the courtyard, where you will have a private Ngoma dancing or drumming lesson. Ngoma- translated literally as “drum”- is an ancient form of expression in Zanzibar and Tanzania. Learn to move your hips to the drums and let the music take over. By the end of the lesson you will understand the basic moves and ideas behind Ngoma dancing and drumming. As the afternoon drwas to a close you will relax with herbal tea while looking across the Indian Ocean.
